Excel 2016 Turn off Print both sided for all Work Sheets (Print settings only applying to active worksheet) Is there a way to set 'one sided' printing options to an active work sheet in Excel and it then apply to all other work sheets in the work book.
This means that whatever you want to be on the back of the left side of your first page needs to be on the right side. Take a look at this image of a bookmark template created in the post. At first you might think that the first green bookmark on the first page (the page on the left) would have a red bookmark on the back of it. Actually, it would be the second green bookmark, the one on the far right side of the second page that would be on the back of the first green bookmark. Why does it have to be like this? Because of the way the paper is fed into the printer. Try it out yourself by downloading the and printing it out on a regular sheet of paper.
I saw some replies for another MF series printer, but the instructions did not make sense to me. I have gone through EVERY possible option in the print dialog boxes. I think this is something set on the printer itself somehow.
Hi, just tried it out and it works for me (I'm using New Macbook 2015 with El Capitan and Office 365), you may try: Go to System Preferences -> Printers and Scanners -> Choose your Printer -> Settings -> Options -> Tick the Duplexer To print on PDF: File -> Print -> under Orientation change the 'Preview' to Layout -> Two Sided button will appear then change to Long Edge-Binding then Print To print on Word: File -> Print -> Change 'copies and pages' to Layout -> Two Sided button will appear then change to Long Edge-Binding then Print Good Luck! Also, if you save with multiple worksheets selected, when you open the workbook again, they will still be selected. Learned this one the hard way.:-( Barb kegr.@gmail.com 3/8/2012, 10:47 น. I have not found a workaround to this, and have come across this limitation often.
This is a good time to decide whether you want to print in landscape or portrait orientation. Your data should inform your decision; if there are too many columns to make things legible in portrait orientation, choose landscape. On the other hand, if your spreadsheet is comprised of lots and lots of rows with fewer columns, portrait may be the better option. Once you’ve made this decision, use the Margins dropdown to select the area of the page where your spreadsheet will appear. This will depend on the capabilities of your printer, but the Narrow Margins preset is a good way of getting as much as possible on the page, and it won’t cause problems for the majority of devices.
So by fooling Outlook to think it's 9' wide, then the entire width of email data will be printed on an 8.5x11 paper. Under 'Page Setup.' , create a custom paper size that is 9x11 (instead of using default 8.5x11).

I can't find any way to enable the now grayed-out 2-sided option that was always there before. BTW, please note, fellow-posters, that the original query related to a Canon printer, so your solutions for other brands and models may work on those, but not on Canon. Mine is a PIXMA MG5350, OSX 10.9 Mavericks (soon to be upgraded to Yosemite). The following functions cannot be used in Mac OS, though they can be used in Windows computers. • Duplex Printing • Booklet Printing • Tiling/Poster Printing So, I guess going the Odd-Flip-Even route is going to be the solution until Canon fixes it. And I'd hazard a guess that this will cover all other Canon printers mentioned above, and some that are not yet mentioned either.
Is this because OS X doesn't recognize manual duplex as true duplex printing? The Layout section shows information based on the PPD for the respective printer. If the printer supports duplex printing, then the option will be enabled in Layout. So for your printer not having a duplex unit and thus no support for automatic duplex printing, then that explains why the setting is disabled. So you will need to print on one side first and then reload those printed pages back into the Brother to print on the reverse side. The setting you want to use with the driver is Paper Handling and here you can select to print the odd or even pages first.
Note the clever use of colored angle brackets in the second line to imply a sequence of services.
Make sure that you have selected the printer that you want to set up. • In the Print dialog box, click the Printer Details tab, and then click Advanced Printer Setup.
Hi qcmosu, Thank you for using the Support Forum. See if this solution will help you out. Assuming you can print from other Office apps (i.e. Word), a plain text document from Notepad prints okay, and you can print a picture/graphic without issue, here are some things to check: 1) When you do a print preview, are you seeing the whole worksheet as expected?
• In the Print pane, change the orientation to Landscape. • Change the margins to Narrow. • Change the scaling to Fit All Columns on One Page. • When you are finished, your print preview should look like this.
The second page was upside down. This solution worked with my EPSON printer just fine. 'I finally figured out how to stop the second page from being upside down. Make sure that after Two-sided is checked that the Output Settings pull down menu below says Short-Edge binding and NOT Long-Edge binding.' You may need to fiddle with setting depending on your printer type. Most workstations do have the long-edge and short-edge binding options. I hope this saves someone else loads of time!
Print a publication on a printer that supports duplex printing To print on both sides of a sheet of paper, do the following: • On the File menu, click Print. • In the Print dialog box, in the Printer name list, select the printer that you want to use. • Click the Publication and Paper Settings tab. • Under 2-sided printing options, click the arrow, and then select the option that you want. • Choose the duplex printing option that you want.
6) Check that your print area is set as you expect. Go to the View tab, and in the Workbook Views section, select Page Break Preview. You'll see the worksheet broken down into pages.
Canon, you have great printiers. Please get the fix together. Otherwis will have to trash this printer.
Note This option is available only when View Side by Side is turned on. Tips • If you resize the workbook windows for optimal viewing, you can click Reset Window Position to return to the original settings.
Tip To restore a workbook window to full size, click Maximize at the upper-right corner of the workbook window.
I found this solution on an HP forum. The information posted on the apple support forum needs to be updated. I was trying to print a brochure from Pages.
Hopefully you will now have a true double sided copy of the multiple worksheets in your Excel workbook without each tab starting a new page. One note of caution. When you have multiple worksheets selected in this manner, if you make changes to the page setup (margins, etc.) the changes will be applied to every once of the worksheets that are in the selected group. It is easy to forget that they are all selected and to change what you think is just the worksheet that is showing, and mistakenly change all of the others.
