This is particularly useful when I am going to exercise and don't want to wear foundation. The consistency is very creamy and a tad on the thick side so you need to blend it out reasonably quickly so it doesn't get sticky and just 'sits' on the skin. Although it is a little high in price, one pot lasts a long time and I would rather pay a little extra for a product that works.

I do however love this for concealing those really big red pimples because it covers them quite well, but if you have any sort of dry patches or anything this will cling to them and look a bit crusty, so when my skin is drier I tend to avoid this. I think if you do not have any eye wrinkles or dry skin you would like this. The MAC Studio finish concealer was among my first concealers as a teenager along with the Body Shop Concealer. I still continue to purchase to this day.

Application of the Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly: The MUA at the Mac store applied it with a flat brush but I like to apply it with my fingers. I swirl my clean finger in the tub and pick up a good amount of the product and apply it to both my lids. I apply and blend this on my eyelids with my fingers. This way it gives me a very smooth and flawless base to work with. I have tried applying this with a brush also but the finish isn’t that smooth as compared to the finish that I get when applied with my fingers. • Dry formula. If you have dry lids you might have to use it with eye moisturizer. • Dries and sets in place very quickly.
The thing about the Paint Pots is that they tend to dry out, but if you screw the cap on tightly, and store the Paint Pot upside down, it helps. Mac Paint Pot Colors
MAC has a fairly large collection of paint pots with different colors which work as base for different eye shadow looks. Some of them can be worn as eye shadows itself. I used MAC painterly paint pot for quite long (bought another one too which I barely use now) before switching to MAC groundwork paint pot. MAC Groundwork Paint Pot Ingredients: MAC Groundwork Paint Pot My take on MAC Groundwork Paint Pot I prefer this over painterly as this matches my skin tone (dark circles rather:P) perfectly. I am NC 42 in MAC. Painterly is very good as base for lighter eye shadow colors but it use to give me an ashy look with some neutral colors.
