I’ve always been a Mac kind of guy and only took a seven-year hiatus during college and seminary because Grove City gave me a Windows PC. When I returned to the Mac world I fell in love with the Mac Mini. I’ve never been a fan of the integrated display iMacs (just a personal preference) but the Mini was perfect. Though I didn't expect it, the iPad provides me with an easier and quicker workflow for posting hero images on iMore than my Mac ever did. It's all in the workflow. @Hans-Henrik, 100% correct. Perhaps another good thing I should update in the guide with this specific information. The problem is there isn’t a generic comparison to make. Yes, Intel Core-i7 HQ CPUs offer significantly more parallel processing capabilities and therefore can get up to 2x as much performance for some types of tasks than the Core-i7 U CPUs. However, in general neither Photoshop nor Lightroom really take full advantage of that type of processing based on my experience with them. At some point that will change, but for now I don’t think it is worth spending the extra money on them especially when you pay such a price on battery life with the HQ CPUs using between 2x and 3x more power.
